About Tikuli Painting

The Tikuli painting is practised in remote areas of Bihar and Jharkhand. The artists were inspired by the idea of the Bindi only to come up with Tikuli, which is an extension of the Mithila or the Madhubani art form. It is majorly done on wood especially on hardwood so that the exact effects of the colours are emerged as one.
